“De Taali” Movie Review

De Taali

Starring: Aftab Shivdesani, Ayesh Takia, Ritesh Deshmukh, Rimi Sen
Director: Eshwar Niwas
What To Watch: Ritesh’s exellence in comedy
What Will Bore You Away: Aftab and the various moments which are dumped unnecessarilyThe movie, I must insist isn’t a comedy throughout. It’s more about emotions in friendship and love and is surely an effort to make another ‘Dil Chahta Hai’. The movie might be a better choice to watch when compared to the other disastrous releases of the week.

This movie starts with a sober sounding song which soon takes the form of a remixed version. Soon after we get to see the how three friends, Abhi(Aftab Shivdesani), Amu(Ayesha Takia) and Paglu(Ritesh Deshmukh) live together as if they are inseparable. Though Amu is a girl, the two beshtesht friends of hers, Paglu and Abhi are clueless about this fact….. Before anyone jumps to any kind of a conclusion, I must clear that the summary of the sentence was that Amu is a total tom boy. Abhi is a rich hot shot, who falls in love with every dumb and weird girl where as Paglu and Amu are a lot more sensible.

“Khushboo” Movie Review

Posted By admin

Khushboo

Starring: Avantikka, Rishi Rehan
Director: Rajesh Ram Singh
What To Watch: Nothing
What Will Bore You Away: EverythingThe movie didn’t look very promising after the reviews were out, and well, we got what we expected….A movie with no trace of fragrance.

The shitory…oops, the story of Khushboo starts with the attention at a very ambitious man, Raghu (Rishi Rehan), who puts is career ahead of everything else in the world, until he meets a girl in Chandigarh, Pinky (Avantikka), who woos him and then disappears in the crowd before he can approach her. And this happens for more than once so that it makes the hero wanting to talk to her even more. And when they finally get to talk, they come to know about the very strong bonding they had. And then once again, Piky vanishes out of Raghu’s life leaving him with no clue about her disappearance. i nearly started to suspect it to be a movie on reincarnation.

“Haal E Dil” Movie Review

Haal E Dil

Starring: Adhyayan Suman, Amita Pathak, Nakuul
Director: Anil Devgan
What To Watch: Adhyayan Suman (only if u are a fan of his….which I surely doubt!!)
What Will Bore You Away: Actors acting and film’s unoriginalityWith the age of remix songs doing pretty well among the youngsters, the script writer of this movie had honestly thought, the remix movies would have the similar reception. This is a movie, which has made a point to touch every hit moment of a super hit flick from recent films.

Sanjay Romances Ash In Presence Of Abhishek

Posted By admin

Sanjay Dutt and Ashwarya Rai

It’s just that we are talking about the reel life and not the real life. Sanjay Dutt will soon be seen in a movie, sharing a romantic relationship with Aishwary Rai Bachchan, while the flick also casts Abhishek. The film is to be directed by Mani Ratnam who had casted Abhishek opposite Ash in his last film, Guru.
Looks like the bad response of Sarkar Raj on screen has led the director back off from the idea of pairing them together again.

Aamir Khan Blog: Excerpts from his 2nd post about IPL Final

Posted By admin

aamir-khan-bald-new-look.jpg

Aamir Khan blog has been in the center of discussion of many people around the world. In which he mentioned about naming his dog Shahrukh. After the outcry from people all over the he even apologised by saying it was just a joke which some people liked it and some did not.
After this controversy, Aamir Khan does not write anything that would raise an issue. He recently watched IPL 20 cricket match with Sachin Tendulkar and wrote about it.

Excerpts from his 2nd blog

“The match last night was certainly exciting but what made it a unique experience for me was that I had Sachin next to me. You will find this hard to believe but Sachin was able to predict every ball before it was bowled. “He is going to bowl a bouncer next”,
“This one is going to be a slower one”, “Full tilt outside the off stump”, “Next one will be a yorker”, “Short of length”. It was uncanny. HE GOT IT RIGHT EACH TIME!!! No wonder its so difficult to bowl to him. He has an amazing instinct. And he told me his logic for each prediction which I wont share with you as I don’t want to reveal how his mind works. But all of us were dumbfounded with his instinct and his acumen. So at the end of it I told him next time we watch a film together I’m going to tell him whats going to happen next!

Pakistani film staring Nandita Das (Bollywood Actress) warmly applauded at U.S. festival in Seattle

ramchand-pakistani-2.jpg

NEW YORK, June 10 (APP) :”Ramchand Pakistani”, a full length feature film from Pakistan, scored another first: After last month’s triumphant debut in the Tribeca Film festival in New York, it also evoked a good response in another major festival—this time on the West Coast of the United States.

The 2008 Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF), the largest in the U.S., featured the film brilliantly directed by Mehreen Jabber on Friday and Saturday in a Seattle cinema house.

The 25-day Festival, which opened on May 22, will close on June 15 after screening more than 400 feature, documentary, and short films from around the world.

“Ramchand Pakistani” was warmly applauded by mainly American audiences.

Unlike New York, Seattle does not have many South Asians.

“The positive response from the Americans was very encouraging,” Mehreen Jabbar told APP correspondent on her return from Seattle on Monday. “I was surprised by the warm reception it received.”

Mehreen’s father, Javed Jabbar, a former cabinet minister and senator, wrote the story of the film, which he also produced.

The film tells the story of how an accidental border crossing affects the life of a poor Pakistani Hindu peasant family. Inspired by actual events, the narrative attempts to depict the heavy irony that underlies the relationship between Pakistan and India.

Nandita Das, a Bollywood superstar, plays Champa, the woman whose eight-year-old son Ramchand and husband disappear from their village near Nagarparkar, located along the border with India where they held as spies.

The film stars Syed Fazal Hussain in the title role. Other Pakistani actors

in the cast include Rashid Farooqi, Noman Ijaz, Maria Wasti, Shahood Alvi, Tipu, Adarsh Ayaz and Saleem Mairaj.

The film was shot in Nagarparkar and Islamkot, close to the Indian border
